Disclaimer: I don't know.. What should I write? I OWN THEM. Oh there~ there~ I own my laptop, my Evernote, my brain, and the storyline. The characters are fictional but if you say that the characters have the same name as the NEWS members, so be it. xDD


PART THREE

He clasped the watch in his left hand and caresses his lover’s sleeping face with his right hand. He glanced at the pocket watch on time when the numbers on the little box changes from 09 to 10.

“I am not letting it happen again, Tesshi” he whispered as he pulled his lover to his chest and kissed his forehead. “I do not want to lose you again”

He was awakened by something soft that landed on his lips. He smiled when he smelled the faint scent of his lover’s shampoo. Masuda opened his eyes and saw his lover looking down and grinning at him. He purposely put his hands on his waist and tackle him down, positioning his head on his chest. He felt his mind relaxes every time Tegoshi caresses his back.

“Good morning, Massu”

“Good morning, Tesshi. Ne, Tesshi, let’s not go anywhere tomorrow. Let’s just stay here whole day.”

“Are you sure, Massu?” Tegoshi felt Masuda nodded “But I want us to go out on a date tomorrow.”

“Let’s just have a party here. With Kei-chan and Shige.. We can invite Ryo and Tomo, too”

“Does that mean we are not going home tomorrow?”

“Yes. My leave is until 12. So let’s just go back on that day.”

“I am happy that Massu is here” he giggles “but I really find it weird.. again. Kei-chan and Shige told me that it would be better to stay put, though I don't know what they mean by that.. And also, now, you too.”

“I am not weird, Tesshi..” He pouted and Tegoshi poke his lips “I do not want to go out, that’s all. It’s safer here than outside, you know.”

“Everywhere where Massu is, is safe. But your idea of having a party here is nice.” Tegoshi pushed Masuda away and they sit up. “We still have our last game today so we better get up now” Tegoshi said, leaning forward till their noses touched “So, let’s go and take a shower.. you have to cheer me again today, my personal cheerleader”

Masuda catches Tegoshi’s lips and bit his lower lip gently. When they pull apart, he grins and took Tegoshi’s hands, pulling him for a piggyback. “Let’s take a shower. I want to have a one on one meeting with my favorite soccer player. I can cheer him that way too, right?”

“Yes, you can” Tegoshi laughs as Masuda run to the bathroom.

“Go Tesshi!”

“Go Shige!”

“They are my best players”

Koyama and Masuda suddenly look at each other and turned to look at their back. There they saw Nishikido, smiling wide at them. “So the reason why only Tomo was in their room last night is because of you two, huh.” Nishikido said, smirking

“We-"

“It’s okay.. I’m glad you are here." Nishikido waved his hand in front of his face "As you can see, my team is the best. And everytime Tegoshi and Kato would work as a pair, no one can stop them.” Nishikido said confidently, following Kato and Tegoshi who at the moment is pairing up.

“Ryo is a very proud coach” Koyama said, teasingly.

“I-I am .. I am just telling the truth!” Nishikido shouted, not looking at his laughing friends. “Tegoshi seems in a very good mood today, do you know the reason behind his beaming energy, Masuda?” he smirked when Masuda suddenly blush “Maybe I can use that technique to Tomo too.. so, what’s the secret?” him and Koyama scooted closer to hear him clearer.

“I a-am not telling you. It’s only applicable for me and Te-” And as he looked back at the field, Tegoshi just scored a goal “Whooh! Go Tesshi!” he shouted, louder than before, making Ryo and Koyama winced and took some steps away from him.

“You do not have to shout like that” Ryo smacked him on the head

“I think my eardrum has been damaged” Koyama frantically said. Nishikido suddenly shouted Idiot and smacked him on the head. “Oh, I’m fine, Ryo!” he said, putting his hands in front of him to stop Nishikido from shouting in his ear again.

“Tomorrow is Tesshi’s birthday" Masuda said, catching his friends' attention "Do you think you and Tomo can come, Ryo? I told Tesshi that I am going to hold a party inside our hotel room.” he said smiling

“Why inside the hotel? Let’s go out! Out! But yes, we will come.”

“No. I won’t allow Tesshi to go outside for tomorrow.” Masuda said it seriously, making Nishikido looked at him curiously. “Then, at 16:00, Ryo. Don’t be late.” He added and grins and wave at Nishikido as he walks back to his team. He then suddenly felt a hand on his shoulder and he smiles at his friend saying, “I’m fine, Kei-chan”. He knows, so does Koyama that, that is a lie.

“Nice game, everyone! Nice! Nice! Very nice!” Ryo said happily , patting each member on the shoulder. He stopped in front of Tegoshi and pat him on the head “You did great out there. And I guess I know the reason why” He laughs as Tegoshi looked at him confusedly “Go, you can skip our party, your special someone is waiting for you. Kato, you too.” And as Tegoshi and Kato bid their farewell to him with big smiles plastered on their faces, he turned and shouted Party Time to the team.

“Massu!” Tegoshi shouted as he saw Masuda at the entrance, talking to Koyama. His smiling face disappeared when he saw how serious Koyama and Masuda is. They didn’t even hear him shouting at them.

Kato saw Tegoshi’s sudden change of expression so he hurriedly went to Masuda and Koyama, telling them to stop being serious.

“Oh, you are here already! I thought you are going to have a party with the team?” Koyama asked Kato, happily

“Ryo knows we won't be happy being there so he let us go.” Kato said, grinning while looking at Tegoshi who is approaching them.

“Tesshi! How’s my idol?” Masuda beamed when he saw Tegoshi walking towards them. And he automatically put his hand around his waist. “What’s the problem, Tesshi?” he added, Tegoshi is not smiling at all.

“Is there something wrong, Massu? You were having a very serious conversation with Kei-chan earlier..” Tegoshi said, concerned

“Oh, about that.. we were just having a conversation for tomorrow’s party. On what food to buy and what games to play” he said nervously glancing at Koyama and Tegoshi.

“Games?" Tegoshi beamed "I can help you with that!” he added smiling, encircling his hands around Masuda’s shoulder, and resting his head on the crook of his neck.

“No, let me help you with that” Kato laughs “It is your birthday. So we need you to participate in every game that we would play and because it is your birthday, you are not allowed to know the games we would play beforehand. Isn’t it more fun and exciting if it’s a surprise, Tegoshi?”

“Right! Right!” Tegoshi laughs “I can’t wait for tomorrow!” he grins and tightened his grip around Masuda’s shoulder. He felt Masuda pulled him close and he is not really sure if he heard him right when he said something like he can’t wait too for tomorrow.. to end. And when he glanced at KoyaShige, there’s that expression on their faces again, that made him sad and nervous at the same time.

“Massu?” Tegoshi woke up and saw his lover’s back was facing him. And when he heard a sob, he directly sits up and lean closer to his lover. Putting a hand around his chest and resting his cheek on his lover’s cheek. “Why are you crying?” he said gently, running his fingers on Masuda’s clenched fist.

“I.. I had a n-nightmare..”

“What happened in your nightmare then? Massu is strong, nightmares are not scary for you” Tegoshi said while slowly caressing his lover’s face.

“That’s because..” Masuda turned and faced Tegoshi. He pulled him down for a tight embrace “That’s because the source of my life .. my strength.. and hope died in my dream” he pulled Tegoshi closer, shaking his head on his chest “I do not want you to die. I do not want you to leave me. What would happen to me if you.. I can’t. I won’t.. make it through if you.. Tesshi..”

“Massu, I won’t leave you. I won’t. If ever something like that would happen, I am not going to give up. I will fight for my life. I can’t leave you. I still want to be with you.” Tegoshi said confidently. The idea of him dying is not good but he needs to reassure Masuda that everything will be alright, so at least the only thing he can do is to say those words to him.

Tegoshi rested his head on the pillow with eyes shut close and caresses his lover’s back. He almost dozed off when he felt wet lips on his. He automatically smiles when he opened his eyes and saw Masuda’s smiling face , though the traces of tears are still visible and eyes are still wet from crying. He gently erases the tears on his face. And he closed his eyes when Masuda leaned forward, catching his lips again.

"Happy Birthday, Tesshi" Masuda said, breathless.

"Thanks, Massu" Tegoshi kissed him again "I am really really glad to have you by my side.. Thank you for coming into my life, Massu"

"Tesshi" he is on the verge of crying again, calling his lover with a shaky breath. "Promise me you won't leave me." Tegoshi giggles and kisses Masuda instead of saying his I Promise You. "Promise me, Tesshi. Please.. promise me" Masuda melted as his lover smile so sweetly at him.

"I promise, Massu. I promise I won't leave you." he run a finger on Masuda's lips "Let me hear you say those words too.. Massu" he said while looking at his lover's eyes lovingly

"I promise you, Tesshi.. I won't leave you.. and I will love you forever. Let's stay together forever, Tesshi." he smiles, caressing Tegoshi's face with the back of his hand.

"I like that" Tegoshi grins "Massu.."

"Hmm?" Masuda smiles, looking down at Tegoshi "What is it?"

"Let's.." Tegoshi attacked Masuda's lips. And when they pull apart, he was already on top of Masuda "since it looks like you would be busy later.. in preparing you know.. and then we would be busy when it's almost time for the party.. and.. maybe.. this is the only time that we have for today so let-"

Now, Masuda is the one who attacked him. Pushing him down to the bed, not breaking the contact of their lips.

Tegoshi groans when he heard his phone rang. He knows people are sending him birthday greetings, all of them at once.. and he figures it's the soccer team. That's their way of annoying him.. sending messages at the same time of the day. And when he reached for his phone on the table beside their bed, he guessed it right. They all send him their birthday greetings at exactly 11:00 am to 11:11 am, it always amuses him how they do that.

He just finished sending his reply to them when someone called. It's Kato, telling him to go to their room. He just said 'Coming' and Kato cut the call already. Tegoshi knows he is going to receive a gift from Kato and because Kato is a bit shy, he won't wait for later to give him his gift. He can only give Tegoshi his gift when no one is around, that's Kato for you, Tegoshi thought. When he glanced at Masuda, he is still sleeping, he looks so exhausted. He pecked his lips lightly then slid out of the bed slowly and quietly.

Tegoshi looked around the room and curses when he remembers his things are still in the room that the soccer team have given them for their stay in Osaka so he had no choice but to wear his clothes yesterday. And when he saw Masuda's jacket hanging, he hurriedly wear it to hide his clothes, he doesn't like people seeing him wearing the same clothes for two days straight. Just when he was about to open the door, Masuda sits up and called him nervously.

"I'm just going to see Shige, Massu. I'll be right back. Just get some sleep, I'll be gone for 15 minutes. 'kay?" and he didn't wait for Masuda's answer. He hurriedly close the door.

Kato handed him a box. He happily hugged Kato when he saw what's inside. "Shige! Shige! Thank you! I've always wanted to have this!"

"I know" Tegoshi suddenly looked confusedly at Kato "I mean, it's just a lucky guess"

"And .. there's a star and cross too! Wow! A very lucky guess! Thank you, Shige! Thank you!" Tegoshi hugged Kato again

"Y-your welcome, Tegoshi. Now, let me go." Kato pushed Tegoshi away from him gently

"Oh. Sorry. I was just too happy" he grins and patted Kato's shoulder instead "Where's Kei-chan, Shige?" Tegoshi asked, looking at his gift happily

"Buying foods for later"

"Oh.. then, I'm going back to our room, now. Bye Shige! See you later! Thanks again for this, Shige. I am very happy to have you as my friend." Tegoshi added, smiling sweetly at his friend. as he jumped on his way to the door.

As Tegoshi was out of sight anymore, Kato couldn't shake the thought of Tegoshi leaving them away from his mind. Especially when he added those words.

"Hello? Tego-chan?"

"Kei-chan! Where are you?"

"I'm in a cake shop right now."

"Can I go there?"

"No you can't! You can't Tego-chan! You are not allowed to go out!" Koyama frantically said, making Tegoshi laugh.

"Relax, Kei-chan!" he chuckles "Who said I am not allowed to go out?"

"Ah no, I mean.. you can't be with me because I am in-charge of the food and then if you were here you would know what foods and what kind of cake I bought. It won't be a surprise anymore if you were here. And also I am personally looking for your gift right now. I can't look for a gift if you were here with me, you know."

"You've got a point there, Kei-chan" Tegoshi said, laughing "then, please take care, Kei-chan. Don't eat too much sweets, okay? If you're on a cake shop, you might end up tasting all of the cakes there. Watch your health, ne, Kei-chan?"

"Tego-chan..."

"Bye, Kei-chan~ See you!"

As the call ended, Koyama wonders if Tegoshi was outside the cake shop. He put the spoon back on the plate and didn't finish eating the cake he ordered.

"Can't I help you?" Tegoshi said to Kato, pouting

"No, you can't. One of the games that you would be playing is called Find-your-gifts-within-five-minutes." Kato grins as Tegoshi continued pouting "There, there. Don't worry, I am going to give you some hints later so you can locate where your gifts are."

"Really, Shige?" Tegoshi suddenly beams "Then, I'll just go to your room and watch a soccer game."

"Good. Okay, off you go~" Kato shooed Tegoshi outside his own room "Ah, right, Tegoshi. I'm going to give you your first hint, your first hint is 'A He', now you know who is your first gift. And remember, the first gift should be unwrapped last" Kato smirked and Tegoshi laughs.

Tegoshi was closing the door of Kato's and Koyama's room when something urged him to go out. He didn't know where he is going but his feet is dragging him somewhere, stopping outside a unique shop. Mageia, he read the words in front of the store before he headed to the door, and he stopped and looked for the second time on the name of the shop, he didn't know what kind of writing it is. How the hell did I read those words? When his foot stepped inside, he froze. He saw a very familiar person standing at the cashier, he saw his own self. He took some small steps toward the cashier, still staring at his own self who is talking to a person he clearly knows, Kato. And what surprises him more is the not-so-old man on the cashier looks at him and smiles at him as if he knows what is happening around him.

"So, you are back.." the not-so-old man suddenly said "I'm Inohara. You are Tegoshi-kun, right?" Tegoshi nod at him slowly, eyes wide and mouth opened "Sorry.. your memories are not yet back, I see.." Inohara slightly laugh

"W-what me..mories are you t-talking about?" Tegoshi said, nervously glancing at Kato and Tegoshi who is walking on their direction. He hurriedly went to Inohara, hiding at his back.

"Don't worry, they are just a part of your own memory. They can't see you." Inohara said, laughing

"B-but.. H-how come.."

"Did you see what he bought here?" Inohara pointed at him and Kato who just exited the shop.

"Something.. like pocket.. watch?"

"Yes. And that is Mageia's secret watch. You are one of those lucky people who caught it. Do you know what's the role of the watch?" Inohara smiled gently as he asked Tegoshi, who shook his head slowly " Ah. Silly me, of course, you don't know. That is... to give the person who caught it a second life."

"S-second life.. But I am still aliv" Tegoshi stopped and just stares at Inohara who is grinning at him now

"I guess you are getting something.." he smiles "Mageia's work is something like traveling back to the past. The date would be randomly chosen by the clock itself. In your case, it chosen November 4. Your loved ones are lucky to spend so much time with you again.. There are others who only have a day to spend with the ones who died again.."

"Does that mean.. I already died?" he asked surprised

"Yes, you are already dead. But as what I have said, the person who possesses the clock will be given a second chance, a second life. And the only ones who knows what really happened are those people who are close to you." Inohara paused for a while, letting Tegoshi inhale everything that he had said. "But, of course, your second life would be given to you, if you would recover your memories on time. After that, dead again or alive, I will get the Mageia back."

"But.. what memories? I don't know what you are talking about Inohara-san. Why is there a consequence if I would be given a second chance? And also I.. I don't know where's the Mageia" Tegoshi confusedly said, looking at Inohara's serious face "then.. does that mean?"

"Yes.. If you couldn't recover those memories, the inevitable thing would happen.. I'm sorry but that's how the Mageia works." Inohara added sadly, pausing for a while for Tegoshi's sake. "The Mageia is with Masuda-kun, haven't you seen him holding it?" he softly smile at Tegoshi "Tegoshi-kun, your time is almost over. And I hope.. no, and I know you can recover those memories. But remember, you only have today, only today. "

"Ino-"

The light is blinding him. Tegoshi closed his eyes and covered his face with his arms. When he opened his eyes again, he is at the sidewalk. He couldn't believe what Inohara-san just said. He is afraid to die. He doesn't want to leave Masuda, his friends, his family. He stayed there at the sidewalk, trying his best to think about those memories Inohara-san is talking about. He remembered his conversation with Inohara-san earlier, the 4th, that was the day Masuda, Koyama and Kato started acting weird. So does that mean they are the key? So does that mean they traveled back? It all make sense now, the excuse that Kato made that time.. It was him who died. And with Masuda's overprotective actions were all for his sake. And the reason why Koyama said he was not allowed to go out was to save him. But as what Inohara said, the inevitable thing will happen unless he would remember those memories. Tegoshi shivers when the cold wind suddenly touched his face. He put his hands on the pocket of Masuda's jacket to warm his hands. And when he clenched his fist inside the pocket, his hand crumpled something. He panicked because Masuda might get angry at this something that he crumpled. But what he saw and read, when he pulled the paper out from the pocket, shocked him. It was cut from a newspaper. The clipping stated that there was an accident, and he can clearly read his name, on bold letters. He directly turned around when he found out that the place he was standing in was the place he died.

And it happened again.

Just when he turned around, a car hit him. And before he lost his consciousness, he muttered Masuda's name.
