Summary: "Like, the Gods are giving us a chance to save Tegoshi.. or.." he suddenly sits on the sofa, and put his hands on his forehead  "Tegoshi wishes for this to give us enough time to bid our farewell to him"

Disclaimer: I don't know.. What should I write? I OWN THEM. Oh there~ there~ I own my laptop, my Evernote, my brain, and the storyline. The characters are fictional but if you say that the characters have the same name as the NEWS members, so be it. xDD

PART 1

After the burial, Koyama and Kato followed Masuda as he slowly walks away. It seems like Masuda didn't notice them.  He opened the door of his and Tegoshi's apartment and didn't bother to close it. Koyama sighs and closed the door for him when they went inside. They shared a look when they saw Masuda stopping at Tegoshi's room and hesitantly walks to his room.

"Massu, talk to us." Koyama said when they entered Masuda's room. Masuda is on his bed, lying on his stomach. He hasn't said a word since Tegoshi died.

"You haven't eaten anything yet, Massu. Tegoshi won't like that. What do you want to.." Kato stopped talking when he heard a sob coming from Masuda's direction. He looked at Koyama painfully and sigh. "I'll go and find some chairs" Kato whispered to Koyama and hurriedly walked away from Masuda's room. It is already hard for them that Tegoshi is gone, and now Masuda, Masuda is making it harder for both him and Koyama but they can't blame Masuda, they can't just blame him. If there's someone to blame,  they would blame that driver, who lives. That is very unfair, Kato thought.

When the door opened, Koyama saw Kato pulling two chairs that apparently were from the dining table. Koyama helped him and took the chairs from Kato's hands, he positioned the chairs beside Masuda's bed, as if Masuda would ran away if they won't sit and stay there. Masuda is already sleeping, tears still visible on his closed eyes and teardrops were on the clock that he is holding, positioned beside his face.

"If only we stopped and headed back to that store that time... maybe.. maybe Tegoshi is still alive right now" Kato suddenly said, as he stares at Masuda's sleeping figure.

"Shige.." Koyama called, sadly looking at Kato

"If only he didn't push me that time.. maybe.. maybe there's still a chance that Tegoshi would be alive right now"

"Stop it, Shige.." Koyama pulled Kato close to him "It's not your fault. It's that drunk man's fault. No one wants something like this to happen. No one, Shige.. no one"

Kato woke up and wonders when he fell asleep, but smiles and thankful when he sees that Masuda is still asleep and that he didn't run off anywhere. He glanced at Koyama, who is resting his head on his shoulder, and smiles. He patted his head, whispered 'Thank You for being with me' and kissed his forehead. He felt Koyama's hand touched his cheek and grins.

"Shige, Kei-chan" Masuda called when he opened his eyes and saw his friends. He sits up and lazily ruffled his hair, "Why are you here?" he said, yawning as he glanced at his watch "it's still early in the morning. Oh, I know. Tesshi opened the door for you ..." he glanced at their clothes "what's wrong with your clothes? Too formal. What's the occasion? Someone died? Ah, speaking of death. I had a horrible nightmare." he shivers, he didn't know that he too is wearing something like the ones his friends are wearing  " I need to see Tesshi. I won't calm down witho-"

"Massu!" Koyama suddenly shouted , with anger and sadness in his voice, surprising both Masuda and Kato "You have to face the truth! It's also hard for us but we have to accept the fact that Tegoshi is g-" he didn't finish his sentence when tears roll down from Masuda's shock face.

"No.. No.." Masuda said, he was frantically shaking his head when he glanced and saw the clothes he is wearing "W-why am I wearing this? No.. Tesshi.. NO"

"Massu, stop!" Kato grabs Masuda's wrist, stopping him from ripping his own clothes. And Koyama hurriedly grab the other wrist. Masuda was struggling when the door suddenly opened accompanied by a cheery voice that made them freeze.

"Good morning, guys!" Tegoshi appeared, hands on his waist, smiling at them. "What are you playing? Let me join! Let me join! I made breakfast but breakfast can wait." he grins as he stares at them and to their clothes.  "Ah, right. I am really curious about something since last night.. Why are you so formal? And.. is there.. something wrong?" he added when they are not moving at all, just stares at him as if he is some kind of an idol that they have seen in person for the first time. Speechless. He raised a brow and slowly stepped backward when Koyama and Kato slowly took some steps forward, still staring at him with wide eyes. "W-wait. Am I supposed to ran away from you? Is that the rule of the.." wall on his back, he can't move backward anymore. "g-game?" Tegoshi glanced at Masuda who is still sitting on his bed, not moving at all. "Okay. Let's stop this game for now. Let's ea.." Koyama and Kato extended their hands slowly and when they touched his shoulders, they abruptly touch his face, tilting it, his arms, examining it, they pulled him away from the wall and examined his back, "What's- Ah!" Tegoshi laughs when Koyama suddenly put his hands on his waist and tickled him. "He-hey! Stop that Kei-chan!" Tegoshi said laughing as he tries to slap Koyama's hands away from his sides.

Koyama and Kato glanced at each other, he was too real to be a dream, before they pounced at Tegoshi, calling the young man in sync. He is real, that's what they thought. Masuda, who is still staring, just bite his lower lip at the sight he is seeing, Tegoshi.. is there, he wanted to cry, hard, like a baby if it's possible. And when their eyes met, he didn't stop himself. Still biting his lower lip, he cried and tries his best not to sound too creepy. Tegoshi whispered something to Koyama and Kato and they let him go. He hurriedly walk to Masuda's direction and encircled his arms around his shoulder.

"Massu, what's wrong?" Tegoshi asked, with concern present in his voice, as he rubbed Masuda's back and patted his head.

Masuda pushed Tegoshi slowly and rubbed his eyes to clear his vision. When he can clearly see Tegoshi's face, he put a hand on his hair and then  touched his cheeks, his brows, his lips. He pressed his lips on Tegoshi's and a tear escaped from his eyes when Tegoshi kissed him back. He instinctively pulled Tegoshi closer, not wanting to let him go, but Tegoshi pulled away and stares at him amusedly. He examined his face again for a good 10 seconds before he pounced on him "Tesshi!" he said his name just like a child would call his mom after dreaming a very very bad dream.

"Ma-massu! We will fall!" they fall and he groans, Masuda weighs more than him, that's a fact. He wanted to push Masuda and scold him for doing that but he stopped when he felt him trembling. "Massu.. what's wrong with you?" he said gently while touching his head, caressing it. He looked up and saw Koyama with a hand covering his face and Kato rubbing his back gently. "Shige, seriously, what's happening here?" Tegoshi asked as he felt they are all acting weird. He waited but Kato didn't say a word, instead he gave him an I-don't-know face.

When Masuda calmed down, Tegoshi forcefully dragged the three of them to the dining room. He woke up early to cook for them and he doesn't want his effort to be wasted so they should eat his cooking. They happily said their Itadakimasu~ but Tegoshi didn't enjoy his breakfast at all, because from time to time, Koyama and Kato would glance and smile at him. Well, he likes the part that Masuda was clingy, head on his shoulder and hands on his waist. But still, he felt it is strange and also their silence is strange. They act like his parents every time he goes home. They act as if they haven't seen each other for a long time, when in reality, it was only yesterday that Tegoshi didn't see them. When they were finished eating, Tegoshi couldn't shut his mouth anymore so he asked them.

"We-were just being emotional. That's all" Kato said, doing his best not to stutter as he avoided looking at him in the eyes.

"Why? What happened yesterday?" Tegoshi asked again and averted his gaze at Koyama, who strangely avoided his gaze too. "Your actions are really weird. It's frustrating me. Shige" he looked at Kato again, slightly annoyed "did something bad happen at Osaka?" Koyama and Kato stared at him when they heard the word Osaka, and he felt Masuda snuggle closer.

"W-what wh-why O-osaka?" Koyama stuttered as his small eyes widen.. a bit

"Didn't you tell me you are going to Osaka to visit a friend? And Kei-chan, I am asking Shige." he said, irritatingly.

Koyama instantly covered his mouth and looked at Kato. Kato suddenly remembered telling something like that to Tegoshi so he tried asking him too "What day is it today, Tegoshi?" he asked as he looked directly into Tegoshi's eyes. It's really confusing but he couldn't fathom the happenings around him, something like that.. is impossible.

"It's the 4th today, Monday." When Tegoshi said that, Koyama and Kato looked at each other, and Masuda sit straight gaze locked at the other couple in front of him. That made Tegoshi stands and he walked away from them. "You guys are hiding something from me. I hate you" he shouted and slammed the door of his room. Masuda stands and started walking towards Tegoshi's room when Kato called him, telling him to stop but he doesn't want Tegoshi to be mad so he continued walking forward.

"We need to talk" Kato's serious voice made Masuda stopped.

"We are not going to tell him anything. We need to think of an excuse." Kato slowly said, looking at Masuda and Koyama in the eyes. "We have to act as normal as we could so that Tegoshi won't suspect us. Remember, we can't tell him anything about what happened. I don't know why we have to keep it as a secret but I just have this feeling that we can't tell him.. not now, maybe.." Koyama and Masuda nodded, because they too have the feeling that it's not right to reveal something like You-died-and-then-when-we-woke-up-you're-here-and-alive to Tegoshi, and also because they trust Kato, he is after all, the brainy one and the mature one among the four of them "So now we know it is the 4th today, but we don't know how we get here and why we are here. And also, I have to tell you guys that I am starting to freak out" Kato aimlessly looked around the apartment when he said that till his eyes caught Masuda's hand, he is holding the pocket watch, moving it from his left to right hand, a habit of him when he is nervous "Oh, right, Massu, you can't tell Tegoshi that, that comes from him." Kato nonchalantly said when he felt something weird, Koyama and his belongings were not with them when they woke up, what's the clock doing here? His brain registered a non-scientifically proven conclusion that made him turned his head back to the pocket watch Masuda is holding.  "Massu! Give me the clock!" he shouted and didn't wait for Masuda to hand the watch to him. The world is full of mysteries that can't be explained by science, that's what Kato thought. His eyes widened when he see the watch functioning. He run to the living room and look at the clock there. "The same." he whispered

"What?" Masuda's voice came from behind, he extended his arm and took the pocket watch away from Kato's hand. "You know that this is broken, right?" he said nonchalantly

"That's it! I know it's hard to believe but it is definitely the clock's work!" with wide eyes, Kato pointed frantically at the pocket watch Masuda is holding. "It's not broken anymore, Massu." he added as he put his hands on his head.

Masuda gave Kato a You're-Kidding look while Koyama nods at Kato just to let him know that he believes him though deep inside, he doesn't believe him, before they stare at the pocket watch and their jaw dropped when they saw the second hand moving and so does the long hand. "Im-impossible" Koyama said, full of disbelief on his voice.

"I know it's impossible but the clock.. it's a proof" Kato said "Or.. or we are just dreaming. Yes, yes! That's it! We're dreaming.."


"If this is a dream, I would never want to wake up" Masuda softly said as he clenched the watch in his hands. "I'd rather be here and continue dreaming with him than to be there and continue living without him"

Kato kept his mouth shut, he doesn't have a say to Masuda's words. And so does Koyama as he just stares worriedly at his best friend. Silence fell over them when the door of Tegoshi's room opened and their friend who they just bid their farewells yesterday, except Masuda, is glaring at them.  They still couldn't believe that Tegoshi is walking in front of them with that cute pout on his face and a bag on his shoulder. But it's a happy feeling that they have in their hearts, the Tegoshi that they are seeing looks so much like a real person than a ghost, maybe that's the reason why they are not yet totally freaking out.

"W-wait! Tesshi, where are you going?" Masuda said as he run and hug him from the back when Tegoshi didn't even stop to look and smile at him "Don't go. Don't leave me" he tightened his grip and felt Tegoshi's hands on his', pulling his hands away "T-tesshi.." Masuda bit his trembling lip, the action made him want to cry, Tegoshi loves Masuda's hugs, is what he remembers. In this world, in this time, does Tegoshi still loves him? He is having second thoughts now.

"Massu, I am not going to leave you" Tegoshi said as he turned and faced his lover, he smiles and pulled Masuda for an embrace. "You are really very clingy today, Massu" he added, slightly laughing when Masuda pulled him closer and kissed his neck while caressing his back. "You are not even embarrassed anymore, Shige and Kei-chan are here, you know." he patted his head lightly.

Masuda smiles as he erased all the doubts in his heart. "They understand.. after all, they know how much I love you.. I miss you Tesshi. I miss you very much"

Tegoshi looked amused. As what he remembers yesterday, they are together the whole morning and only hadn't seen each other for the span of 8 hours, then he went home late and saw Masuda with Kato and Koyama, sleeping inside Masuda's room. Nothing is wrong with that but Tegoshi can sense something happened.. something feels different. "Shige " Tegoshi called, with the tone of talk now or never.

Kato tries to think, as fast as he could, of an excuse but Tegoshi's eyes are pressuring his brain that he randomly talked without processing what he just said "We.. we attended a friend of a friend's burial yesterday" He blurted out and was surprised at what his mouth just said. Kato can clearly see  from the corner of his eyes that Koyama too was surprised. He was the one who said not to tell anything, right? He thought of another excuse but then again, he had already said that so it's better to go with it. Tegoshi raised a brow and mouthed Then? And Massu, still resting his head on Tegoshi's shoulder, looked at him and mouthed Explain Yourself Brainboy. "I.. I brought Kei-chan along with me and then we saw Massu there. It turns out that a friend of a friend of Massu was also a friend of a friend of the one who die-"

"What's the name?" Tegoshi said, slightly annoyed because he couldn't understand Kato's explanation. But maybe that's the reason why he hadn't seen Masuda yesterday afternoon.

"Go.. Goshi.." Kato tilted his head as he thinks hard. For Tegoshi, he is remembering the name. For Masuda and Koyama, he is clearly making a name. "Goshima Yuka"

"And what is the connection of this Yuka to your strange behaviors earlier?"

"You see," Kato looks at his own hands, as he feels his answer is going to be too personal for him "Yuka... is a cheerful and a friendly girl. But because of a sudden accident, she died. She is just 23. And at its 4th year in Uni. It's just so sad.. her best friend was with her when the accident happened.. Yesterday, we saw her lover and his condition was so bad.. He clearly still believes that Yuka was still alive.. He has not yet accepted the fact that Yuka was already gone." Kato knows why he sadly said that, not because he wants Tegoshi to believe his excuse, but because that's what he felt when the cheery Masuda became an empty Masuda.

"Well.. I guess I can tell that Massu doesn't want me to die.." he glanced at his lover "but the both of you.."

"Oh.. That's because Yuka and you have similarities.. She looks like you. The cheerfulness, the friendliness, the.. well, we were just afraid to lose a friend.. that's the reason." Kato stares at anything inside the room but not at Tegoshi. He is embarrassed. He doesn't usually say those things to him because Tegoshi would give that grin that would embarrassed him more. And when he finally glanced at him, Tegoshi is grinning, he sighed.

"Okay. Now I understand.. maybe, I think." Tegoshi said, still grinning at Kato. "But you should change now.. " he made a face as he looks at their clothes "You look good wearing suits but .. I don't know.. You guys are freaking me out. Oh, and Shige, it's Monday, we have a meeting so you better go now"

Kato's eyes widened in horror as he remembers the date, it's the 4th not 14th. "Ah! It's the 4th today! Oh, geez, Nishikido would chop me down if I'd be late." he said frantically moving back and forth as he put both of his hands on his head.

"Calm down, Shige. You have clothes in my apartment." Koyama put a hand around Kato's shoulder and walked him to the door.  "We still have time, now now don't give me that horrible look, my apartment is just two floors up,  see you later Massu, Tego-chan!" Koyama added and waved at them.

"See you, Shige, Kei-chan!" Tegoshi laughed as Koyama closed the door behind him. "Now Massu, it's your turn to change." he pushed Masuda gently and looked at him in the eyes.

"Okay. Undress me, please." Masuda randomly said

"Massu.." Tegoshi who stares at Masuda with a mischievous smile, said "Did you hear what you just said?" he chuckled when Masuda suddenly blush and stutter some words " I'm sorry but we can't do that now. Maybe later" he purposely added and laugh when Masuda covered his blushing cheeks.

"Going home now?"

"Not yet"

A minute later..

"How about now?"

" :D Massu, we are not done yet. And message me later. Ryo-chan is already glaring at me. See you Massu~ Love you"

Masuda sighs as he put his phone back to the table. He had already finished his work five minutes ago. He looked around the office, Koyama and Nakamaru are still busy with paperworks. His mind said he should help but his heart and body are not responding with what his brain had said.

Koyama sensed Masuda looking at them so he turned and gave him a smile. He stands and headed towards Masuda, he knows what he wants to do and what is stopping him. "Massu, you should go. Anytime soon Nishikido will dismiss them. No worries, we can finish this and this is our work, not yours." Koyama added when he saw some hesitation on Masuda's face "You know, you should seize the day, carpe diem, Massu." he said and laughs when Masuda gave him a sheepishly grin. When he stopped laughing, he then suddenly looked serious and put a hand on Masuda's shoulder "If you need help or there's something that you want to ask for our help, Shige and I would gladly accept your request. Shige said earlier, this is really real and as what you had already noticed, these are the works that we did weeks ago.." Koyama said as he looked at Nakamaru who is still cramming.

"But what I did last time was that.. I helped you and Nakamaru."

"That's right but that is before. The fact that we are here in this time already change so much things. Not helping us is just a little thing, you know. Now go. I'll help Nakamaru, I already finished my work. " Koyama pushed Masuda towards the door. "Go and pick Tegoshi. Do the things that you won't usually do. Just in case he would be taken away from you again."

The thought made Masuda clenched his fist. He thanked Koyama and gave Nakamaru an apologetic smile before he closed the door. Just as what Koyama said, he is going to pick Tegoshi.

"So Shige, there's this new cake shop and I thought of bringing you and Kei-chan there." Tegoshi happily said as they walked to the gate.

Kato rolled his eyes. He remembered that happening clearly, Tegoshi ordering many different cakes but didn't finish eating the cakes and Koyama, who loves eating sweets, gladly finished his cakes for him. That gave Koyama a stomach ache and a sore throat. "Yeah yeah. But don't order too much or else we will leave you there in an instant." Kato said as he tried to glare at him but grins as he glanced to the side and saw Masuda. "Looks like someone is here to pick you, see you Tegoshi" he patted Tegoshi's shoulder and went to the opposite direction.

Tegoshi looked confused and follow Kato who promised earlier that he would walk with him because he is going to visit Koyama. "Hey! I thought you are going to Kei-chan's apartment?"

"Tesshi!" Masuda called from behind. He grins as Tegoshi looked surprised. "Surprised?"

"Y-yes. You surprised me." Tegoshi said, slightly laughing "I'm guessing.. we are going to visit my parents?" Masuda shook his head "You are going to be busy because of work and decided to see me before you go back to the office?" Masuda shook again his head "Hmm. You are here because you just want to pick me" Masuda nodded and he laughs "You are busy at the office, Massu. You don't need to pick me. I do not want you to be exhausted.." Masuda pouted and he added "It feels like we are back to the courting stage."

"D-don't be s-surprised. J-just because we are together for three years doesn't mean I w-won't do this thing." Masuda stutters as he blushes. Tegoshi sweetly smiles at him and it made him feel that his effort was rewarded. Masuda extended his hand and took Tegoshi's hand.

"Massu is getting bolder." Tegoshi stated and entwined their fingers.

On their way home, they passed by a playground and Masuda smiles as he thought of something. "Ne, Tesshi. Do you want to play?" Tegoshi laughs and he dragged him to the swing when he nodded. "Sit here, I am going to push you" They alternately pushed each other on the swing till they grew tired of it and decided to play the seesaw next. Tegoshi was on the air when Masuda said "Tesshi, I know I don't usually ask you something like this but.. would you promise me to let me know wherever you are going?" Tegoshi looked at him confusedly so he continues "I mean.. if you would attend a party or you would be coming home late or you would be going somewhere.."

"Oh.. sure Massu. I will let you know." Tegoshi said smiling "But why? Are you afraid of something, Massu?"

"I.. I just want to keep you safe.. and away from harm." Masuda said as he let Tegoshi's feet touched the land. "Let's go home. It's already late" he added as he walked towards Tegoshi and hold his hand again.

A/N: GOMEN! HONTOUNI GOMENASAI! *BOWS DOWN* I thought I have the time to post this last March 31 or April 1. GOMEN! XDD Our internet connection really bugged me (and also the daily power interruption) that I ended up watching Katekyou Hitman Reborn and Deltora Quest instead. I haven't been on facebook or google plus lately, either.. XD I am more on twitter now. XDD OH WELL.. Now for my Fantasy Story.. What should I say? :D That this only have 5 Chapters.. I pressed it to 5 chapters, only. :DD Since it's my first Multi-Chaptered Story, of course it's not good. And.. I started this March 21.. Ended it March 31.. and the hell, posted it now.. April 11. After 11 days... Oh gosh, I was so into watching anime.. that I didn't even bother posting the other chapters! I'm sorry.

/I think I should warn you again that this story is mostly for my satisfaction. "YAY~!! A FANTASY STORY!!" See? for my own satisfaction.. :3/
