“Hyung” Sunghoon called but he did not listen. After assessing that there are no people around, he turned to look back at Sunghoon with fire in his eyes.
“Why do you keep saying you are alright and why do you keep on smiling when it is clear that you are not happy at all?” He asked, voice dark as he said so.
“Why do you care?” Sunghoon coldly asked him. In that moment he had remembered he shouldn’t care like this for the younger now. They have split already, right? Jiwon stuttered a response, clearly embarrassed on his outburst. But then someone went near them and looked them both in the eyes.
“Jaejin hyung.” Sunghoon called, looking at him confusedly.
“Let’s go Sunghoon-ah.” He told Sunghoon. He took Sunghoon’s hand on his own as he looked at Jiwon. “Let’s go hyung, it’s time for rehearsals.” Without waiting for Jiwon’s answer, he dragged Sunghoon away from him. Sunghoon’s “Hey, I can walk on my own” was what put Jiwon’s attention back at them both. Jiwon was left there with hands curled up on a fist, eyes locked at the younger’s figure.
“Damn it!” he cursed.

“I don’t think you should be part of this, Jaejin hyung.” Suwon asked Jaejin in their dressing room.
“I think so too” Jaeduc added, looking at Jaejin “Why are you putting yourself between them, hyung?”
Jaejin sighed and slowly in a quiet voice, he said “He came to my studio one night. I should be angry at first because he disturbed me but this is Sunghoon, the one who keeps a strong front, broke down in front of me. My heart feels like crumbling seeing him cry. Then he told me Jiwon broke up with him. I might be an overprotective hyung here because I badly wanted to just punch Jiwon hyung when I heard that he was the reason why Sunghoon was crying. But Sunghoon stopped me, telling me things will get better soon. But you know, this is the first time for them to truly split up, they usually just cool-off not split up for real.”
“I know what you mean. While Sunghoon went to you, Jiwon hyung went to me.” Suwon sighed. “But I still think, you shouldn’t be part of it, hyung. Jiwon hyung might misread you and misunderstand everything.”
“I think Jiwon hyung might be misunderstanding everything now.” Jaeduc butted in, sensing Jaejin’s and Suwon’s inquiring eyes, he added “I mean, he was observing you, Jaejin hyung. And how you treat Sunghoon. He might be even giving up now instead of walking to Sunghoon and trying to get back together. That’s what it is to me.” Jaeduc ended.
“Now that you mentioned it, he was distancing himself from us, nowadays. Particularly from me and Sunghoon. Was I really the reason of his sudden change of behaviour?” Jaejin wondered, out loud.
Unknown to the three of them, Sunghoon heard everything. He was just on the door, looking at the three who has their backs at him. At first he thought of shouting his name but sensing the seriousness of their conversation, he closed his mouth and tried to listen. He heard his name and he got intrigued so he continued on listening.
Quietly, he closed the door. Jaeduc heard the door closing, so he turned around to see the newcomer but there was no one there. He went to the door and saw Sunghoon’s back walking away. He gulped. “Sunghoon was here. Did you think he heard us?” he asked the two people who went near him, questioning him with his sudden action.
Suwon blinked. “Well then… he might find Jiwon hyung and try to explain his side?”
“Should I find Jiwon hyung and explain my side too? Though I don’t want to, I trust Sunghoon will explain things to him in detailed.” Jaejin said, nodding with his thoughts.
“Well, then we’ll just see what happens next?” Jaeduc added unconvinced. “Just in case, don’t you think we need to check on those two?”
“Give them time first. Let’s give them an hour or thirty minutes to talk before we would go there.” Jaejin asked then added “Uh, where?”
“I think Jiwon hyung is at the practice room.” Suwon answered
“I think so too.” Jaeduc added
**
“We need to talk” was the first phrase that Sunghoon said when he went to the practice room Jiwon is at.
“There is no need for us to talk.” Jiwon responded, continuing his dance steps.
“Hyung, please.” Sunghoon begs, and the sound of Sunghoon’s voice is enough for Jiwon to falter. He stopped dancing, walking to the side, he took his towel and bottle of water. He wiped his sweat off and drank from his bottle before he faced Sunghoon.
“What is it, Sunghoon?” He softly asked the younger. He couldn’t just stay cold and unresponsive towards the younger.
“Hyung, let’s get back together.” Sunghoon said with determined eyes though his voice wobbled as he spoke.
Jiwon sighed. Looking at the younger with kind eyes and his heart in his eyes, he responded “I can’t. You deserve better Sunghoon-ah.”
“Why do you keep on telling me that but looked at me with love in your eyes?” Sunghoon said softly, though frustrated.
“You deserve better.” He repeated.
“Is this about Jaejin hyung? No, nothing is between us, hyung.” Sunghoon was sure he saw him being relieved before he went back to a blank look.
“You deserve better.” There were tears in Sunghoon’s eyes as he looked at Jiwon. Jiwon was alarmed at first but he pulled himself back and looked at Sunghoon still with blank look,
“So this is it then? No more us? For real?” Sunghoon mumbled and it hurts Jiwon so much that he feels someone was crumpling his heart. He just couldn’t take pushing away the younger anymore.
“I still love you so much.” Sunghoon said, tears running down his cheeks.
“You—”
“But it is you that I want!” He shouted. “It is you that I want and love, hyung. Why can’t I have you?” Sunghoon crumbled down and in an instant Jiwon was beside him, hugging him oh so tight with tears in his eyes.
“I’m sorry, love. I’m sorry. I am so so sorry. Please forgive me. I won’t push you away anymore. Alright?”
“You hurt me.” Sunghoon mumbled but he hugged Jiwon as tight as he could, putting his face on the crooked of his neck, and Jiwon doing the same.
“I know, love. And I’m so sorry.”
“I can’t just forgive you like that.”
“I know, love. I know.”
“As a punishment, you can’t say “we need to break up” again, never again.”
“I won’t, I promise.”
“Give me your reasons.” Sunghoon asked, still holding tightly to Jiwon, afraid that the older might run away after asking him that.
“I…I was asked by your mother if I can give you a bright future. I know I can but she once told me you like to have a family… and I faltered. I don’t know if I can give you a bright future anymore. I cannot give you that. So I tried to push you away. And—”
“You know my mother loves you and is okay with us being together, right?”
“I know and she might be disappointed with me now that I made you cry. You know I can’t give you a family that you wished so much.”
“We can always adopt.” Was Sunghoon’s answer
“But in our line of work…”
“Everything will be alright. Also, I do not mind that it is just the two of us. As long as I am with you, I am already happy.”
“And as for Jaejin, I was thinking he will hook you up with someone that is why.” Jiwon felt Sunghoon’s soft punch at his back then he laughed before he muttered his bunch of sorry’s again.
“You need to make it up for me thrice than you normally do. You made me cry for a week.” Sunghoon said, crying subsided and just enjoying Jiwon’s hug now.
“I’ll make it up to you, I promise. But for now...” Jiwon kissed him like there is no tomorrow. Sunghoon felt him asking for forgiveness from his kiss and he replied with his own, hoping his “I forgive you” has come across. “I love you’s” were shared before they shared another kiss.
Jiwon was about to kiss Sunghoon again when he glanced at the glassed door and saw the three smiling wide at them, clapping like idiots. He whispered to Sunghoon, “There are three idiots at the door” before proceeding on kissing him again and again and again.
